Dogs should ideally be groomed every 4-6 weeks to prevent any health or coat problems. We mandate that all clients maintain a grooming schedule of no more than 8 weeks between sessions.
Due to insurance and liability reasons, we cannot permit anyone inside the grooming van during services. Interestingly, pets often remain calmer when they’re not in sight or earshot of their human family members. Their excitement or anxiety in your presence can lead to jumping or restlessness, posing risks to safe grooming. Ensuring your pet’s safety is our top concern, and we assure you they are in the best possible hands!
We require all pet parents to be home for their dogs first initial appointment with us. After the first appointment, many clients become “latch key” clients, meaning you can leave a key, garage code or smart door code so we can still keep your pet on their grooming schedule if you are busy at work or unable to be home during your time frame provided. If you would like to become a latch key client, we do require your pet to be contained to one area in your home where we can safely and quickly access them for their appointments.
Mobile Grooming is a luxury convenience service and we come to you! Our van is completely self contained, meaning the only thing you need to provide is your pup! It’s time to ditch the stressful assembly-line culture of your traditional grooming salon. That means no more pick-ups/drop-offs, barking dogs, phones ringing, low-quality products, and No cages! Our top priority will always be the health & well-being of your dog. We believe in a gentle, force-free, relaxing experience as we treat your dog with the exceptional care you’ve always wanted for them. The exact cost of the mobile grooming will depend on the weight/size of your dog breed, the type of coat your dog has and also the condition your dog’s coat is in.
We require all dogs to be current and up to date with their rabies vaccination. There is no exception to this, as it is legally required in the state of Kansas.
Unfortunately for insurance & liability purposes, we can not allow anyone in the grooming van when services are being performed. However, most pets are generally calmer in an environment when they cannot see or hear their human family members. When you are present, they tend to be overly excited, anxious and jump which can create a very dangerous environment to safely groom your pup in. Your pets safety is our utmost priority and can assure you that they are in the best hands possible!
Here at Heavenly Hounds we choose humanity over vanity grooming, meaning | will not do anything to your pet that will inflict pain or harm. If you are unable to keep your dog on a proper schedule or perform at home maintenance, this may result in your dog having to be shaved.
